A Break from the Small Stuff...

Gentlemen, I decided to take a small detour from the small stuff to look at physical fitness. This months Men's Health is off the chart. If you don't subscribe go to your local library and see if they have it or just go read it at the bookstore or your local GIANT! :)

My favorite editor has done it again by posting a great editoral. David Zinczenko has written an articled title "Discomfort Zone" and in it he says, "Skill, Drive, and Determination are like Viruses -- They're passed on from person to person." Are you challenged by others who succeed in life or are you immoblized and negative in result of being with them? We should view those who KNOW in such as way as to learn from them, be inspired by them, not jealous and bitter. Look for those who are in the race, running, and get next to them and charge forward with them.

David goes on to say that the #1 healthest place for Men is Fremont California..."People are doing things here. Everyone is going somewhere, with a purpose. You have to walk fast to keep up...In a town like Fremont, you can't help but rub up against the healthy, the ambitious, the driven. Sooo make sure you visit there, maybe you'll like it! :)

Well fellas until we meet again, PEACE!

Let Go of the Idea that Gentle, Relaxed People Can't Be Superachievers

Has it been that long? Well, I think it is time I get back in the game. Picking up where I left off, have you been sweating the small stuff lately? If so, here is another great lesson from Dr. Carlson:

Do you feel hurried? Frightened? Overly Competitive? Maybe it is your perception of life. Do you believe you need to keep moving to be successful? Effective? if you were to slow down the pace that you will lose your competitive edge? Your not alone by thinking this way, look around you.

Dr. Carlson says that "You can put this fear to rest by realizing the opposite is actually true. Fearful, frantic thinking takes an enormous amount of energy and drains the creativity and motivation from our lives.

The answers is this: When you have what you want (inner peace), you are less distracted by your wants, needs, desires, and concerns. It's thus easier to concentrate, forcus, achieve your goals, and to give back to others.

Take time and stop for about 30 mins, sit still and quite, ask yourself the question: "What do I need to have inner peace." Once you have answered that question then you will be on your way to achieving what it is you desire to be successful at life.
